Medellín is a poetry campaign for the benefit of refugees displaced by armed conflict, climate change, or human rights violations. Inspired by Medellín, Colombia, this collection of poems, photographs and short stories is about love and grief, struggle and transformation. It's an invitation to honour the gaps that bind us.
Medellín is a symbol of hope. Once notorious for its violent drug cartel and bloodshed, today's metropolis is a place transformed—dubbed "city of eternal spring” for its micro-climate in the Aburrá Valley.
The book is available at Blurb's online bookstore, or through direct distribution (get in touch). All proceeds will support refugee charities and sponsorship groups in Canada, or refugee causes in other countries based on need. No expenses will be recovered by the author.
