Mezi is a Middle Eastern Canadian poet, photographer and Zen student. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the traditional and unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Mezi is the author of two collections of photopoems and flash fiction, Pigeon (FriesenPress, 2015) and Medellín (Blurb, 2017). 

His writing appears or is forthcoming in The Malahat Review, Plenitude, RPD Society, and Sidereal Magazine. ​
